Dr Shaun Evans
Chiropractor
My experience with chiropractic began when I was a baby with colic. My parents were already seeing a Chiropractor (my Dad for many many years before I was around) and I got my first taste very early on. As a 12 year old I was told my scoliosis would result in surgery, an inability to run and eventually a wheelchair by the time I was 30.
Luckily, regular Chiropractic care made a huge difference.
Since then I have completed triathlons, distance running and I have also worked as a NSWRL and NRL referee for many years.
After working in the police force, I took my interest in sport and health and became a chiropractor!
I definitely have a passion for treating athletes and have worked with NRL players, QLD and AUS level cricketers and national swimmers, however I really just love helping people work towards their health goals; whatever those may be.
I’m passionate about chiropractic and how it can help people of all ages and have long seen entire families whilst practising.
When I’m not getting hands-on with patients I also spend time in a teaching capacity, most recently in CQU’s Chiropractic Masters program and previously at Macquarie University in Sydney (Go the Rabbitohs)!
After working with patients for 16 years I have collected a lot of different techniques but generally I like working with each individual patient to find what works best for them.
Techniques I use and have been trained in are:
Diversified Manual Adjusting
Drop Piece Technique
Activator
Active Release Technique (ART)
Sacro-Occipital technique (SOT)
Paediatric training (Dr Genevieve Keating)
McKenzie Method for Lumbar Conditions
